Roan Member of Parliament, Chishimba Kambwili was only fabricating lies against President Edgar Lungu and PF to get back at the party for firing him, Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) National Secretary Raphael Nakacinda has said.
Mr Nakacinda said it is hypocritical for Chishimba Kambwili to play hero and accuse the PF of corruption now, when he failed to do so when he was Cabinet Minister,
Mr Nakacinda charged that if truly Mr Kambwili was sincere about his allegations against President Edgar Lungu and the ruling party, he should had resigned when he was Minister and not had waited to be kicked out to start exposing his alleged corruption. Mr Nakacinda said this when he featured on Pan African Radio’s people’s debate programme yesterday.
“We can’t have someone eating through to the end until they are kicked out that’s when they see the wrong, this level of hypocrisy by Chishimba Kambwili should be condemned, just because he is not in Government he now stand and point fingers.
“We had leaders in MMD who felt things that were being done did not reconcile properly with the ideals of the party and they resigned, those are the people you can applaud. Why should we have hypocrites like Kambwili become hero today?
“We all know the kind of person Kambwili was when he was in Government, this is the man that terrorised media houses and insulted Journalists, these things are in public domain and today he should become a champion and begin to talk about corruption,” Mr Nakacinda said.
