BY way of conduct it is clear that Chishimba Kambwili is a member of the NDC, but his purpose for clinging to the PF is to cause anarchy in the country to pave way for his attempt at the presidency in 2021,says former United Party for National Development(UPND) presidential spokesperson Edward Mumbi.
Mr Mumbi told the Daily Nation that Mr Kambwili was practicing cheap politics to cause disunity and confusion in the country so that he could gain popularity and attempt to stand as a presidential candidate in the 2021 elections.
He said it was unheard of for an honest politician to claim to be passionate about a political party yet pledge allegiance to a rival party.
“Mr Kambwili should avoid causing confusion in the country because it only breeds disunity, how can he say I love the PF and yet declare that he is a consultant for the NDC, this is illogical.
He should tell us where he belongs because he is confusing people, he says he loves the PF and cannot leave, but he is spotted everywhere with the NDC demonizing the party he claims to love, to me this is hypocrisy and untruthfulness, ”Mr Mumbi said.
He said Mr Kambwili should not take the people of Zambia for granted by constantly lying to them about his real intention of not resigning from a party he has unceasingly despised since his dismissal from cabinet.
Mr Mumbi further said that Mr Kambwili should just declare that he is a member of the NDC.
“I feel ba Kambwili should just declare that he is a member of the NDC because it will be good for the country and him as well. Mr Kambwili has made so many allegations against the President and the PF that he claims to love, If he resigns he can be talking as an opposition leader and point out the actual corrupt practices he has observed in government such a move will even give him leverage to go to ACC or other institutions to report his findings, he will not lose anything but why is he clinging to a party that he says is corrupt anyway?,” he said.
Mr Mumbi said principled politicians are identified by their word being their bond and Mr Kambwili had shown carelessness in his words because of the inconsistencies in what he says and his actions.
