CHIEFS from Southern Province will pay the price of buying into the hypocrisy and deceitful apology of expelled Patriotic Front member of the Central Committee, Chishimba Kambwili, 3rd Liberation Movement (3rd LM) president, Enoch Tonga has warned.
And Zambian Republican Party president, Wright Musoma charged that Mr Kambwili was tormented with the desperation to succeed President Edgar Lungu and the disappointment of being chucked out of the party.
Mr Tonga warned traditional leaders in Southern Province who were playing “Mickey Mouse” games with Mr Kambwili that “they will reap what they sow.”
He reiterated that the apology by Mr Kambwili, the Roan Member of Parliament, nothing but deceit meant to blindfold the people of Southern Province.
Mr Tonga charged that Mr Kambwili was deceiving the people of Sothern Province that he had changed when it was barely two weeks when he held on strongly to the notion that Southerners were tribal.
“Just two weeks ago Mr Kambwili held on strongly to the notion that Southerners were tribal. And now that he has been expelled from PF, he has already become a changed man? That is pure deceit. The chiefs from Southern Province will pay the price for buying such hypocrisy, such an apology is not genuine,” he said.
Mr Tonga emphasised that traditional leaders from Southern Province would dance the “Kambwili tune,” once he realises that things are not working to his advantage.
He pointed out that Mr Kambwili was desperate to advance his political career and that at this moment, he would pretend to be the “messiah.”
Meanwhile, Mr Musoma noted that Mr Kambwili was tormented with his Presidential ambitions but that he did not know which way to go.
He pointed out that Mr Kambwili was aware that he was still a baby to compete with President Edgar Lungu in any election, and that he was also seeing himself as his successor.
“That is the reason why on one hand he is fighting hard to remain in the party, on the other he is contemplating to side with the opposition but Mr Kambwili knows he stands no chance,” said Mr Musoma.
Mr Musoma advised the Roan MP to make up his mind quickly about his political career before it was too late.
