Zambia, a beacon of peace in
Africa
Editor,
Zambia is a beacon of peace in Africa, if not, the world would not attest to its appointments to head peace and security in Africa. But to those who receive tokens from their pay masters to discredit Zambia are in the habit of smearing lies through social media that there is chaos, Zambia is on fire, and there is dictatorship and so on. Please stop this negativity and be patriotic by calling a spade a spade. Your evil statements on social media will one day expose you.

Unqualified procurement officers in civil service
Editor,
Can anyone answer my questions including the PSMD? Why you are not employing students who already finished level six in Purchasing and yet they are just suffering in the streets rather than keeping unqualified civil servants without even a certificate? One of the institutions where you can find un-qualified procurement officers is Government printers, hostels board, Ministry of Health, Defense and the police.

Corruption in Zambia
Editor,
I am a teacher working for a private school. Last week someone called saying in order for me to be employed in the Government, I need to give him about k6000. Why is it so hard for these people in the big offices to understand that we all need money? Last year, the Government introduced a council of teachers saying they will be giving out licenses. We had paid the money and yet we have not gotten licenses. Zambia, were are we going?

LWSC inflated water bills
Editor,
The Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) must work on their system because the inflated water bills they are giving people are made up.
Imagine people pay water bills on a monthly basis below K100 or less than K200 but only to find that residents has to bear with the bills coming out in a range of K480- K600, which is not fair. It is not the first time these mistakes are happening, but to no avail. What we are asking is the water utility company to work on their system and give genuine bills to its customers. The areas affected are Matero, Emmasdale and other surrounding areas.
Concerned customer.
An open appeal to the authority
Editor,
I would like to contribute to your wonderful and widely read newspaper. My concern is seeing the dying of Zambia Printing Company limited. Having worked in the two companies, Zambia Daily Mail and Zambia Printing Company as intertwined companies, I did not see the need to separate the companies as done by the previous leader. Why did they separate Times and Print ark? Can our hard working president his Excellency, Mr. Edgar.C.Lungu and his entire cabinet of men and women quickly intervene in this matter before one of Zambia’s glory leading companies goes to sleep.

Local Government trasnfers breaking homes
Editor,
I want to thank you for this good paper. I am appealing to President Lungu to help those of us who work in local Government and stop these transfers. They have created a lot of problems in homes. How can someone work properly, the wife is in Chirundu and the husband is in Kalulushi. They are breaking marriages. I suggest you abolish the local Government Commission. They are doing nothing apart from bringing confusion in councils. Please Sir, look into this. We are really suffering with their so called commission.

Hichilema a hypocrite
Editor,
I always marvel at the thinking of Bwana Hichilema. This man has a very strange way of looking at important issues. The man behaves like a slave owner who has slaves working his land but each time he opens his mouth, he condemns slavery yet he can’t let go of his slaves. Hichilema has never brought himself before a convention to compete with others within his party, yet you hear him say, we have a dictator governing us in Zambia. Honestly speaking, who is a hard core dictator between ECL and HH? Intelligent Zambians, judge for yourselves.
