An appeal to PSMD
Editor,
I would like to appeal to the Public Service Management Division (PSMD) to closely follow the ongoing recruitment of officers in the Ministry of Information. The system or process is not properly followed. It’s likely to be manipulated.

Charity begins at home
Editor,
Charity begins at home but Maimane wants to offer solidarity to HH abroad and yet he never did so to African victims of xenophobic attacks in South Africa. Its hypocrisy of the worst kind. Neither has he condemned apartheid which incarcerated Nelson Mandela under torturous conditions but instead, he belongs to a party which says colonialism was good for Africans. Shame on you Maimane! Give credit where it is due because HH is enjoying privileges that are not available to prisoners of soft crimes. Compared to Robin Island prison conditions, the Zambian Government truly believes in innocence till proven guilty.

Zambian Lotto
Editor,
Zambia Lotto has continued to behave like a very talented, skilled and gifted goal keeper to most of us who always dream day and night of winning the jackpot because as for me, ever since I started playing the lotto, I have only managed to win three correct numbers, a record of three times since 2010 . What kind of bad luck is that for a man who prays and fasts for 21 days? The national cake should be shared equally, tuli bamo bene. Right now I am planning on watching TB Joshua, Emmanuel TV. Kapena unga wineko.

Save our women
Editor,
I am still waiting for the day when the Zambian Government is going to ban the entry of skin lightening creams in Zambia from other countries. Zambian girls and women are naturally beautiful and attractive without the use of hip booster pills and creams or skin lighteners. Mekako, Jaribu, Carolyte Ambi etc. In fact, those products have devastating effects on the skin. If a skin is over bleached, it is difficult for surgeons to operate that person in caesarian section. At night these yellow women look like Zombies. Please our leaders, save our women.

Let peace reign
Editor,
I would like to urge my fellow citizens to unite as one despite their political affiliation. It is saddening to note that a gap is being created amongst us. An unnecessary hatred for one another that will only destroy us as the years go by. Instead of focusing on political ideologies, let us focus on humanity and national interests. Let us build Zambia and not destroy it. Let us love and not hate. Let us unite as one and endeavor to make this country a better place for us to live in.

ZESCO and new tariffs
Editor,
I totally agree with the majority of Zambians who feel and now know that ZESCO took them for high jump over these new tariffs. They are nothing but torturers. Those who depended on power for their little hair salon or welding, they are now out of business. The cost of living will certainly rise

Perpetual UNZA riots
Editor,
These never ending riots by students at UNZA Great East Road campus have become a major source of worry. I say so because the students always vent their anger on wrong targets who actually pay their allowances. Why can’t they go and torch the ministry of higher education if they feel that bad about their situations instead of attacking innocent citizens who have nothing to do with their problems?

Saturnia pension fund scandal
Editor,
I think that a lot has been said about this fund but we are not seeing any action from concerned law agencies of this country. It is obvious even to the layman that something went wrong at this company and those behind illegal transfer of million to off shore accounts are well known. Why can’t the long arm of the law visit them for stealing retirees money, some of them have since died without their money.
