FORMER Ndola Central Member of Parliament Emmanuel Mulenga on Thursday staged a political resurrection and drew huge and euphoric crowds in Ndola as he called for unity ahead of the 2026 general election.
Mr Mulenga led hundreds of youths during the Youth Day commemorations, describing the gathering as a strong demonstration of unity and shared purpose among Zambians.
Speaking after the event, Mr Mulenga said the large turnout of Patriotic Front (FP) youths was a reflection of the growing desire among people to see unity prevail within the former ruling party and across the country.He said the crowds that gathered during the celebrations sent a clear message that people are ready to work together and focus on building a stronger and more united party.
Mr Mulenga explained that the spirit of togetherness demonstrated in Ndola should be replicated in other parts of the country.
He stated that unity should remain an important ingredient in achieving meaningful progress ahead of the general election.
Mr Mulenga further urged young people to remain peaceful and avoid divisions that could derail the party.
He said youths play a critical role in shaping the country’s future and should be at the forefront of promoting unity and cooperation.
Mr Mulenga also reaffirmed his intention to contest the Ndola Central parliamentary seat in the 2026 general election.
He expressed confidence that with unity and collective effort, the party will triumph from all it’s challenges.
