WITH their sights set on a stronger campaign, Nchanga Rangers Football Club lit up the transfer scene by announcing four strategic signings to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2025/2026 MTN Super League season.
Midfielder Benson Kolala, winger Abraham Kanyangala, forward Jacob Kaunda and goalkeeper John Mutale were all unveiled as the newest additions to the “Brave Rangers” roster in a bold show of ambition by the Chingola-based side.
Kolala arrived from Forest Rangers, bringing midfield stability and experience, while Kanyangala was snapped up from Lumwana Radiants in a permanent deal.
Former Power Dynamos striker Jacob Kaunda adds firepower to the frontline and John Mutale, previously of Trident FC, joins the club as a free agent between the posts.
In a statement, club media officer Andrew Ukwimi said the executive committee was thrilled with the off-season acquisitions, describing them as a “deliberate step” toward improving last season’s performance.
“These new additions bring balance, energy, and depth to our squad. The club is confident they will make an impact as we push for a successful 2025/2026 campaign,” Ukwimi said.
The club ended the previous season in 11th place with 42 points, recording nine wins, 15 draws, and 10 losses from 34 match
