THE Lamba-Lima Council of Zambia has thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for appointing Lambas in the recent appointments at the level of Permanent Secretaries and has assured that they will not disappoint him in the 2026 general election.
Musa Kafimbwa, the vice chairman of the Lamba-Lima Council of Zambia has pledged the chiefdom’s endeavour to perform to the best of its ability to bring pride to President Hichilema as the appointing authority.
Mr Kafimbwa, who is also Emerald Production Watch of Zambia (EPWOZ) president said the Lamba-Lima royal council of Zambia was grateful to President Hichilema for lifting the Lamba people’s flag and was hopeful that more Lambas would be appointed in various government portfolios to help him take the country to greater heights
Mr Kafimbwa was reacting to the appointment of Hilton Chibeleka as Permanent Secretary, Cabinet office and Mwambashi Mwitwa as Mpongwe District Commissioner.
“We appreciate you, Your Excellency, for our appointments given to our dear colleagues from our land, namely Chibelaka Hilton Chibeleka, PS Cabinet Office, and Mwambashi Mwitwa, DC Mpongwe. Your Excellency, you have made us proud, and we thank God for speaking to you and remembering us.
We are not doubting that we will see more Lambas in key positions because we mean well for the land we call Zambia.
“The assurance is that we will never let you down,” Mr Kafimbwa said
Mr Kafimbwa said Lamba land has a rich history of royal and dedicated souls like the late former republican President Levy Mwanawasa, the late former Ndola rural governor and Minister of Defence George Mpombo, the late Jazzman Chikwakwa, Mike Mulongoti and many more.
