Dear Editor,
SOME of us know that our ever boasting UPND will deliver nothing better to Zambians except a hurting dead economy. In just under three years, UPND has given birth to a US2.9 billion foreign and over US200 billion domestic debts.
The picture continues to look dismal and the future hard to predict.
Yes, UPND criticised almost everything done by the Patriotic Front, only to end up being the most corrupt, poor financial performer and only best at blowing hot air all the time.
Frankly speaking, UPND has brought nothing new on the horizon that is soul-stirring except the usual lies that have put the lives of Zambians on the wire.
Many of us thought by now we should have been in a lush exotic haven enjoying a wonderful and memorable life, but we certainly thought wrong.
Our Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) is today awash with reports of some little but clever Zambians smuggling out billions of dollars and Kwacha as the so-called new dawn administration watches with folded arms. It has failed even to give a small comment on FIC’s shocking findings.
Just where are UPND’s distinctive landmarks of being the most perfect government after UNIP? Are Zambians today sure they can adopt the UPND template to better their lives?
Only many of us have no perchance for its current style of leadership. Today, almost everyone agrees that we are in trouble and it is perhaps only time that will change direction to prevent further socio-economic deterioration.
DAN CHIBESAKUNDA,
Ndola.
