PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has lamented that United States of America President Donald Trump has slapped Zambia on both of its ‘cheeks’ by withdrawing aid in the health sector, that would now have to see the country strengthen its treasury to procure its own medicines, especially ARVs.
And Hichilema has set a target of the country generating up to 1, 000 megawatts of solar energy by the end of the year, stating that the feat will be achieved through collaborative initiatives with banks and the private investors.
President Hichilema said the return of President Trump into White House had completely altered the global geopolitics, complaining that Zambia and other African countries should now realise that they were on their own.
