GOVERNMENT has warned regulatory agencies, such as the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) and Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) to stop aiding illegalities, as it engages South African experts to assist in cleaning the polluted water on the Copperbelt.
The warning comes after the water pollution crisis caused by Sino Metals Leach Zambia Limited.
This followed the breach of the dams’ embankment, which led to the pollution of the Kafue River, Mwambashi River and Lusale Stream.
