THE violence that characterized the Youth Day last week was sparked after the UPND cadres realized that they had been completely outnumbered and dwarfed by the Patriotic Front (PF), Parliament heard yesterday.
The Patriotic Front Members of Parliament, Brenda Nyirenda of Lundazi, Binwell Mpundu of Nkana and and Yothan Mutayachalo of Chama North told Parliament yesterday that despite the perpetrators being reported to police, the Zambia Police have not moved to effect any arrests because the culprits were known members of the ruling party.
