MUTOTWE Kafwaya has called for an independent audit of the population figures in Southern Province, fearing that the discrepancies that have emerged could impact the credibility of the 2026 general elections.
Speaking at a press briefing Mr Kafwaya, the Lunte Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Parliament warned that proceeding with the current figures could lead to significant electoral issues.
Mr Kafwaya is urging the government to allocate resources to reconcile the statistics before the country heads to the polls.
