A CATHOLIC Priest, Fr Kennedy Kashinga of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Kawambwa has told State agents to stop harassing threatening the church for hosting political figures during their mass and services.
Harry Kalaba, the leader of Citizens First was yesterday attending mass at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Lusaka and was informed by Fr Kashinga that State agents had called him to find out if the church was going to accommodate the opposition leader.
Fr Kashinga said he was not amused that the State had continued to harass the Catholic Church and its leadership despite assurances from government leaders that there was no rift between government and the Catholic Church.
