THE National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) has assured residents of Kitwe and Kalulushi that the water currently being supplied is safe for consumption.
NWASCO Director Kelvin Chitumbo, speaking during a media engagement in Lusaka yesterday, confirmed that a team in Kitwe had been testing the water supply and had verified its safety.
