THE United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) has expressed deep concern over the government’s decision to zero rate export duty on precious stones without providing a clear justification.
State Counsel Sakwiba Sikota has described the suspension of the 15 percent duty as alarming and urged Government to issue an immediate ministerial statement explaining why the country is forfeiting potential revenue from its mineral wealth.
