CHITA Lodge Limited has sought judicial review over the delay by Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Paul Kabuswe, to hear and determine their appeal after a rejected mining exploration licence.
The appeal, lodged on July 6, 2023, challenged the decision of the Mining Cadastre to reject their application for an exploration licence.
According to Mr James Chungu, Managing Director of Chita Lodge Limited, the minister’s failure to consider and determine the appeal within a reasonable time is unreasonable, unfair, and inordinate.
