THE United Nations (UN) has disclosed that it assisted Zambia with US$20 million last year following the declaration of the drought as a national disaster by President Hakainde Hichilema.
Beatrice Mutali, the UN Resident Coordinator in Zambia said her organisation, the United States Agency for International Development Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID BHA) donated US$20 million to the government through the World Food Programme, targeting to support 600, 000 beneficiaries in drought-affected regions CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
