ZAMBIA Air Force (ZAF) has procured an assortment of agricultural equipment and acquired 16, 000 hectares for maize cultivation as a step in implementing President Hakainde Hichilema’s directive of venturing into the cultivation of maize in the face of the drought which has since been declared a national disaster.
President Hichilema has declared the drought a disaster, which has so far ravaged six provinces and putting the lives of more than two million citizens at the risk of famine and who in need of humanitarian aid. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
