PSDA chairperson Yusuf Dodia said there is need to align the policies together to ensure that they are effective on the country’s economy going forward.
Mr. Dodia said there was need to engage multinationals like the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to compel the mining companies to support the economy.
He said many are the times that the private sector had advised government to ensure that harminisation of mining policies was addressed but without success.
He said being on an IMF programme was making it possible for the harmonisation of mining policies to happen especially that the global lending institution wanted to help the Zambian economy recover.
