MAZABUKA District Commissioner, Oliver Mulomba, has expressed satisfaction with the Zambia Sugar – funded – rehabilitation works at Nakambala urban clinic.

Works at the Nakambala urban clinic have reached an advanced stage, with the scope including renovation of toilets, replacing damaged windows, painting, as well as installation of air-conditioners.
The rehabilitation works that will gobble slightly over K1, 000, 000 have carted for the labour ward, outpatient department, maternal child health wing, environmental health department, as well as the antiretroviral therapy (ART) section.
Other areas to be worked on at the facility include the screening room, security posts, waste management and the registry.
Mr Mulomba has since expressed gratitude to Zambia Sugar for complementing government’s efforts in ensuring efficient provision of health care to citizens.
He said government is happy with the manner the works are being done, adding that the new face of the clinic will motivate health workers to provide good services to patients in a conducive environment.
And Nakambala urban clinic committee chairperson, Justin Musinyani, has thanked Zambia Sugar for enhancing the face of the facility.
Earlier, Zambia Sugar Corporate Affairs Director, Eugene Chungu, noted that the institution saw it fit to work on the clinic as it currently carters for approximately 600 patients a day.
