Cabinet has approved issuance of a statutory instrument on the review of minimum wage for domestic workers, shop owners among others.
FFTUZ vice president for Labour, Muyaywa Kabisa said to ensure that the minimum wage was fully enforced, the government should ensure that the capacity for the inspectorate department was enhanced.
Mr Kabisa has observed that the inspectorate department had been abandoned for a long time despite being a critical component in the ministry.
He called on the government to change the narrative to enhance enforcement when it comes to labour laws.
