“We note with sadness that the more than two years the UPND government has been in power has turned out to be a total disappointment and failure in the lives of many Zambians,” Mr Nsensema said.
He said the only thing the UPND government has scored is failure to rule by the rule of law, police brutality and lack of respect for democracy.
“The UPND governance system has been characterised by failure to govern by the rule of law, police brutality, lack of respect for democracy where the UPND wants to destabilise opposition political parties by using institutions of governance such as the Registrar of Societies, police and parliament going by the chaotic situation in parliament against Patriotic Front and Independent Members of Parliament.
As a party we want to advice the UPND government to stop meddling with institutions of governance and not take us back to undemocratic tendencies,” Mr Nsensema said.
He said failure to address the cost of living, lack of sound and proper policy direction in the mining sector, high inflation rate, poor management of agriculture sector, high exchange rate is the reason Zambians want change.
Mr Nsensema said if the new dawn administration had a sound economic policy the economic would have thrived.
