The bank said it has recognised small and medium enterprises because they play a pivotal role in growing the economy.
Bank Managing Director, Aina Moore, said the local market in Zambia has struggled to grow due to the lack of funding and as such the bank has come on board to help boost their business.
Ms Moore noted that for every developing country, SME’s have a role to play in ensuring that they contribute to the economic growth and create jobs.
She further said empowering SME’s is not only life changing for their families but also for Zambia to accelerate development.
Ms Moore said the bank is keen in ensuring that the local people are financially empowered so as to help eradicate poverty in the country.
She said the bank will play a role in ensuring that SMEs grow for the betterment of the country.
