THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has implored political parties not to shun but participate in all elections.

ECZ Commissioner, Macdonald Chipenzi, who witnessed the Kabuta Ward by-election nominations in Nchelenge has expressed concern that a lot of political parties only existed on paper and did not participate in elections.
Mr Chipenzi regretted that the country had a lot of political parties but that a number of them were just active on social media without participating in elections whenever they happen.
Mr. Chipenzi was in Luapula Province where he also witnessed the nomination aftermath electoral campaign timetable formulation by political parties. – ZANIS.
