Association Secretary General Jones Ngala says the slow process of the commission to ensure that funds are disbursed has made it difficult for more marketeers to benefit.
Mr. Ngala said only 300 marketeers out of the 1, 733 that applied under the association have benefitted from the booster loans, hence the need for the commission to work on improving its service delivery.
He said the commission should also consider increasing the funds so that as many marketeers as possible could access the loans and get empowered.
Meanwhile, the CEEC has said the delay by small and medium businesses to repay the loans has contributed to the slow process of disbursing funds.
CEEC public relations manager Michelo Mukata said it was however committed to ensure that all marketeers benefitted from the empowerment funds.
Mr. Mukata has since urged all interested parties to register on time to benefit as it was impossible to give the loans to everyone.
