Acting government Chief Spokesperson, Makozo Chikote, says the SI No 43 of 2023 would among other objectives provide for the standardised and integrated implementation of digital solutions in a secure, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Mr Chikote who is also Minister of Fisheries and Livestock and acting as Minister of Informtion and Media said the regulation was aligned with the government’s prioritisation of digital transformation, leveraging technology for the enhancement of the well-being of the citizenry through enhanced public service delivery.
He said all public sector institutions were expected to collaborate with Smart Zambia Institute in aligning their institutional digital implementations to the SI to ensure that the public sector derived optimal returns for its investment in technology.
Mr Chikote said the SI was key in fostering a one government’ approach towards the implementation of digital transformation across the Country.
“I emphasise our continued commitment in E-Government for efficient service delivery to our people,” Mr Chikote said.
