Recently, there has been concern by farmers over the poor cotton seed being supplied to them which they have said could lead to them recording low yields.
The board’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Sunduzwayo Banda has explained following the concerns by farmers, the board has started engaging the National Seed Certification and seed companies to help enhance the cotton seed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Banda said the board is also addressing the issue of exploitation of farmers by ginneries.
He said the board wants to see a winning situation when it comes to the cotton industry and not exploitation.
