ZAMBIA Council for Social Development (ZSCD) has proposed that Government should consider coming up with specific taxation for non- profitable organisations.

ZSCD Executive Director Leah Mitaba said it was regrettable that non- profitable organisations were paying same taxes such as NAPSA pension’s penalties, like other business entities.
Ms. Mitaba said there was need to ensure that government comes up with taxation tailored for such organisations.
She has explained that although most organisations were being funded, they were failing to survive due to the numerous taxes they were being subjected to.
