TANZANIA’s High Commissioner to Zambia Lieutenant General Matthew Mkingule has reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to maintaining close business relations with Zambia.

The High Commissioner says, with the conducive environment created by government, the two countries will ensure that business is enhanced.
Addressing Journalists at the Kenneth Kaunda international airport during the arrival of the first ever Air Tanzania Boeing 767 cargo plane, Lt Gen Mkingule said Zambians should take advantage of the cargo plane.
Lt Gen Mkingule said the Tanzanian government through air Tanzania will strive to give best incentives to Zambians.
“It is good news for the business community. Those who want to import and export products within Africa and beyond Africa.
Tanzania will help to link Zambia to the outside world through air transportation. The significance of this air cargo transport is that it is going to facilitate importation and exportation of goods,” he said.
And Lt Gen Mkingule said there is need to foster tourism amongst African countries.
Lt. Gen Mkingule said as much as African governments are promoting domestic tourism, it is prudent that governments promote inter country tourism.
He said by so doing, African governments will boost economies and create employment for its citizens thereby uplifting livelihoods.
Lt. Gen Mkingule added that the African Continental Free Trade Area poses as a good platform to help develop African economies.
He said Africa can only develop if African countries support each other.
