The former students who at some point threatened to sue the college for the non-issuance of the certificates have expressed happiness that the certificates have finally been given to them.
The students said it was better that their certificates were given to them stating that they would now be able to get the positions that they have been applying for that they were not given for not having the papers in their possession.
Others said that they would now get the promotions that they were missing for not having their credentials, despite being qualified.
Today, NORTEC ranks among Zambia’s leading technical training providers due its undiminishing contribution to Zambia and beyond.
The college which is accredited with the Technical Educational Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) introduced a six (6) months Heavy Equipment Repair bridging course for Automotive Technicians in 2017, with the view of providing opportunities for multi-skilling and addressing the growing demand for technicians.
