ZAMBIA Sports fans strongman Peter Makembo has urged CAF envoys Power Dynamos and Muza FC not to be discouraged by the disheartening results recorded over the weekend.

Power Dynamos were held to a 2-2 stalemate by Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club in the first leg second preliminary round match in Ndola while Muza FC were punished 2-1 by Congo Brazzaville giants Diables Noir in the CAF Confederations Cup second preliminary round first leg fixture in Lusaka.
Makembo said both Power and Muza FC have room to improve on their weaknesses going into the second legs slated for next weekend.
Makembo, who had travelled to Ndola to drum up support for Power before he did the same for Muza at Heroes Stadium said a positive mind will be key for the Zambian envoys to grind victories in the remaining games.
Power will seek nothing but a 1-0 win when they travel to Tanzania for the reverse fixture against Simba while a 2-0 win away from home is what Muza needs to make it to the Group Stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
“I must say that despite the results not going our way in the first legs, it is not over and all hope is not lost for our teams. Both Power Dynamos and Muza still have a chance to go through to the group stages of the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup,” Makembo said.
“Both teams will however need to improve when it comes to scoring goals because when we look at how Muza played, they created a lot of chances which they struggled to convert. For Power Dynamos I think they need to be solid at the back because they could have beaten Simba had it not been for the shaky defence and of course the brilliance of our very own, Cletus Chama who scored a brace for Simba,” he said.
Meanwhile, Makembo condemned the behaviour of fans who stormed the pitch on three occasions at Heroes Stadium to splash water on the opponents’ goal post when Muza hosted Diables Noirs.
