CHILANGA Cement Plc has donated a fully equipped mobile clinic to Mother of Mercy Hospice a community-based health institution dedicated to providing offering palliative care services to the most vulnerable in people in community in Chilanga.

Chilanga Cement also donated K30 000 to kick start the operation of the mobile clinic.
Speaking during the handover of the clinic, Chilanga Cement Chief Executive Officer Chai Jianping said the donation of the mobile clinic signifies their unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of the people who need it most.
Chai said the mobile Clinic project was part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes which have been running since 2008.
Mr Chai advised the hospice to operate the Mobile Clinic within the government-established systems and structures on the ground, such as community health centers and clinics, neighborhood health committees, District Health Management, and other Non-Governmental Organizations to ensure effective operations.
And Chilanga District Commissioner Mr David Sheleni who was the guest of honor at the event applauded Chilaga Cement for the initiative and stressed the importance of public and private sector collaboration.
And Chilanga Mother of Mercy Hospice Sister in-charge, Sr. Jeremiah Mrowiece said the mission has always been to provide solace, dignity and support to individuals and families facing most challenging times of their lives.
She the mobile clinic would bridge connects of the patients to the health care they deserve.
