President Hichilema made a clarion call yesterday (Wednesday) for unity of purpose among all political leaders including those in government and those outside that they should work together. We must all accept the President’s call for truce because any other country we shall go to, we can only be visitors or refugees,” Mr Kavindele said.
He stated that the current political leadership owed it to the future generations that the country should remain peaceful and harmonious for only then would development and prosperity would be delivered to Zambia.
Mr Kavindele said President Hichilema’s message for peace, tranquility and togetherness should be embraced by all Zambians and that he was happy that the head of State sounded reconciliatory in his message to Zambians about the need to develop the country without advancing divisive politics. “We owe it to the future generations to maintain peace, tranquility and togetherness. President Hichilema’s tone yesterday (Wednesday) was reconciliatory and we should all accept and should be supported by all irrespective of our political affiliation,” Mr Kavindele said.
