THE UPND should never allow the Patriotic Front (PF) to bounce back to power and should ensure the opposition political party is deregistered before 2026 general elections using all means possible, a governing party functionary has charged.
Maxwell Nsama, the UPND political operative fears the PF has started regrouping and becoming stronger with confidence and should therefore be delisted from being a political organization by the Registrar of Societies before 2026.

He says the desire by the former ruling party to take over the governance of the country for the second time was not to come and serve the interests of the people but themselves.
Mr Nsama said the UPND soft approach in handling the PF had allowed the former ruling party gain confidence and had started to regroup and grow stronger in numbers.
“UPND and all Zambians should up their game to ensure that the PF never bounce back because they can never change their ways of contaminating both the political and public environment with vices that threaten the welfare and affairs of the country,” Mr Nsama claimed.
Mr Nsama said politics was about competition of ideas on how to resolve the country’s challenges and not an arena for causing anarchy.
He said it was unfortunate that since its formation, the PF had been on record of contaminating the political arena with tactical moves resulting in the creation of a narrative that the former ruling party could bounce back to power.
Mr Nsama accused the PF of abusing the political arena to peddle lies, unfounded accusations and propaganda to spread hate speech against people from certain regions.
Mr Nsama said President Hichilema and the UPND then in opposition suffered abuse at hands of the PF and therefore it was surprising to see the same people who divided the country trying to come back and wrestle power from the UPND
He urged the UPND never allow the PF to bounce back to power as doing so will be taking the country backwards.
