THE Patriotic Front (PF) will challenge the results of the just ended by-elections in several parts of the country on grounds that they were marred with violence and political malpractices, Given Lubinda has said.
Mr Lubinda said the party held a national executive meeting which concluded that action should be taken in all the polls where it is believed that election malpractices took place.
He said the party was just compiling evidence on the incidences that occurred before taking legal action because it was evident that there was electoral malpractices.
“We sat as a party on Wednesday and it was agreed that we petition all the results that we feel there was either electoral malpractices or violence,” Mr Lubinda said.
Mr Lubinda said upon concluding investigations they are going to hand over the evidence to the legal team who are going to take the next course of action.
He contended that areas like Lusangazi, Mwense and Mkushi experienced violence as PF members were attacked by suspected UPND cadres.
Mr Lubinda said there was no way they would accept such results when the whole process was flawed with such malpractices.
