UPND MEMBERS NOT SINCERE – PF
By ROGERS KALERO
MOST of the UPND officials and cadres who are defending the wrong decisions of their government and singing praises for President Hakainde Hichilema are fully aware that the ruling party is on a path to self-destruction but are merely pretending that things are fine,’ the Patriotic Front (PF) has said.
PF Copperbelt Media Director Munalula Moola said most of the officials and cadres who are either defending the wrong decisions of the UPND administrationt or attacking the PF and former President Edgar Lungu have lost hope in the new dawn government, but were merely making noise to try and make themselves relevant.
In an interview in Kitwe yesterday, Mr Moola said during an interaction with some UPND officials who were in the habit of attacking the PF on social media, some of them were not happy with the way the new dawn administration was doing things, while others were not happy that they have not been given jobs despite sacrificing for the party.
He said some of them were even predicting that the UPND may be a one-term government if it does not change the way it was running the country.
“What is surprising is that the same people who talk highly about UPND on social media and even defending its wrong decisions, when you meet them, are the ones that are speaking ill about their party. They are not truthful and honest to the party and President Hichilema,” Mr Moola said.
He also advised the new administration to set its priorities right and stop embarrassing itself by wasting time on things which are of little or no importance to the majority poverty stricken Zambians who voted for them.
Mr Moola said, in the more than 100 days in which the UPND has been in government it has exhibited lack of seriousness by concentrating on witch-hunting, political persecution and putting in place policies or making decisions which may worsen the poverty levels in the country.
Mr Moola said it was shameful that despite bragging to be the best government Zambia has ever had, the UPND has failed to set its priorities right and was now waffling and embarrassing itself on simple things.
