TWO crates of Black Label and other assorted drinks have landed a Lusaka man in hot soup after he was caught breaking into a building and committing a felony therein.
Appearing before Magistrate Judith Chiyayika was Kelvin Mwanza of Mtendere compound aged 36 accused of breaking into a bar and getting property worth K18, 500 belonging to Micheal Luyande.
Allegations are that, on unknown dates but between 17 and 18 September 2021 in Lusaka, Mwanza did break into a bar and stole one Plasma TV, an amplifier, two crates of Black Label and all kinds of assorted spirits altogether valued at K18, 500.
However, Mwanza denied the charge saying he did not steal any items mentioned.
“I have heard the charge and I am denying stealing such items,’’ he said
Mwanza said he did not break into anyone’s building to steal, and that he did not pick any of the items mentioned.
