We are still in the dark as to why the police came to search our farm, Mrs. Lister Mulubwa has said.
Mrs Mulubwa, who is the wife to Mr Goodward Mulubwa, a Lusaka business man who was recently shot at, said that they had reported to the police demanding to know the reason why there was a search at their farm in Mapili area but they had not given them feedback yet.
“We do not know why the farm in Mapili was searched by the police because they have not given us feedback yet on the matter,’’ he said.
On Thursday police descended on Mr Mulubwa’s farm with a search warrant.
According to the search warrant that was obtained by the Daily Nation, the police were looking for a stolen motor vehicle , firearms, cash and other illegal articles that were allegedly left with the guard .
Mr Mulubwa 58, a close associate of former president Edgar Lungu, was October 31, 2021 attacked at his house by five assailants armed with an AK47 rifle and two pistols who also robbed him of K50, 000 and $300 cash.
The victim, who was even hospitalized, sustained 22 gunshot wounds from the attack.
Mr Mulubwa suspects that the attack was a well-organized plot by known individuals.
He said he was living in fear as he had continued receiving death threats from unknown people.
When contacted, police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the matter was still under investigation.
