MADISON General Insurance Company Zambia Limited will continue to create efficiencies in its operations through use of technology and innovate in the way business is conducted to attain profitability.
The company was projected to record a profit this year having posted a loss the previous year, Madison General Insurance Company Zambia Limited managing director Chabala Lumbwe said.
“I am glad to share with you that if you look at our budget this year, it has been positive for us we…we will be closing with a small profit at least coming from the loss situation last year. At least we are making progress this year because our customers have continued to support us,” he said.
The company’s achievement can be attributed to the resilient and continued support of its customers who had made it possible for them to post a profit this year.
Mr Lumbwe said this when he made a donation worth K65, 000 to World Vision for the renovation of the one by two classroom block at Mpande Primary School in Chipapa area.
“A few weeks ago we were celebrating the insurance awards, we won a number of awards ranging from the best technology company, customer service, fraud detection …so you can see we have been involved in a lot of activity which enhances our position in relation to customer service that we provide and how we interact with the public,” he said.
Mr Lumbwe was happy that this year looked positive for the business as it projects better results in 2022 and beyond.
On the donation, Mr Lumbwe indicated that the partnership between Madison and World Vision date as back as the 1990’s where the company supported various community initiatives that borders on improving the lives of the citizens.
He said the partnership had grown and developed over the years, stating that Madison was happy to be part of the community programme that World Vision was undertaking in improving infrastructure in the education sector.
Speaking at the same event, World Vision Zambia country director John Hasse thanked Madison General Insurance Company for its continued support towards community initiatives.
Ends.
“We are happy that Madison General Insurance has once again responded to our call for help in the communities in which we operate.
” Early this year your organization supported our ongoing efforts in the fight against Covid-19 by providing masks for vulnerable schools in Chongwe district,” Mr Hasse said.
He said the partnership gives us hope that they would be able to achieve bold targets set out in five year strategy with the goal of contributing to the wellbeing of 1.5 million vulnerable girls and boys in Zambia by the end of 2025.
