BETWAY Zambia county manager Panji Kakube has reaffirmed the sports betting company’s commitment to contribute to the growth of sports at grassroots level.
Speaking after donating K30, 000 to Divine Mercy Sports Academy, Kakube said they were delighted to partner with the sports academy in a quest to contribute to sports development in the country.
Kakube is confident that Betway’s commitment will bring positive change to the academy registered under the Football Association of Zambia Division two league.
“We believe that the best option to groom a crop of world class sports players, is through sustained investment at grass root level, that stage is crucial being where talent identification and development starts.
“We value such partnerships because we understand the long-term benefits that such initiatives bring to the glory of Zambia through sports. Rest assured, the future great football icons are here being groomed by the Divine Mercy Home Sports Academy Football Team, and it gives us great honour to be a part of such a great initiative,” Kakube said.
Divine Mercy Home Academy Football Team Chief Executive Officer Martina Changwereza hailed Betway for their quick response to support the growth of soccer at grassroots level.
Changwereza said the support will go a long way to ensuring that the sports academy continues to make a difference to kids with a dream to become football icons.
And Divine Mercy Home Academy Team Board chairman Peter Cottan encouraged Betway to continue supporting the academy whose aim is to help transform young people’s lives.
