WE have the right and we will continue to welcome Patriotic Front members in our party because we are democratic, Democratoc Party (DP) Copperbelt Provincial Mobilisation Chairman Owen Simwanza has said.
Mr Simwanza therefore advised those that were not comfortable with the decision of the party to leave and form their own party.
He said the doors of the party were open to anyone that was willing to serve the people of Zambia diligently regardless of which party they were coming from.
Mr Simwanza told the Daily Nation in Kitwe that the party cannot change what it believed in for the sake of a few selfish individuals.
” Let those that are failing to accept our friends from the former ruling party, leave us because they have clearly indicated that they are undemocratic, which we do not stand for as a party.
“We are One Zambia One Nation and moreover, there are some members of the PF that never wronged the Zambian people in any way and refusing to work with them will be unfair,” he said.
Mr Simwanza further advised party members that were talking against party president Harry Kalaba to desist and just leave in peace.
He said now was not the time to start fighting about who is supposed to join the party or not but to work together and take the country forward.
