ZAMBIANS should maintain peace after the 2021 general elections, Chief Mulilo of Chama has said.
Chief Mulilo said political parties and their supporters should co-exist and seek peaceful means of resolving political differences without resorting to violence.
He said diversity in political affiliation should not be a source of conflict among Zambians.
He said elections are gone and that it was important for Zambians to unite and focus on developing the country together.
“Zambia has been a beacon of peace in the region and continent since independence. Peace in Zambia is a priceless commodity whose value should be jealously preserved,”he said.
The country has experienced incidents of political violence including the killing, recently, of two political party supporters in Lusaka on 30 July.
