EMMANUEL Mayuka’s agent Nir Karin has disputed Zamalek’s claims that it paid the striker €1.3 million when he left the Egyptian side after an 18 months unsuccessful spell at the club.
Karin was responding to Zamalek president Mortada Mansour, who told journalists at a briefing in Egypt on Sunday, that he used his pocket money to pay the Zambian player.
Speaking in a phone interview with Daily Nation sports yesterday, Mayuka’s agent described Mansour’s sentiments as all lies.
He said they could not have reported Zamalek to FIFA if his player was paid the money.
“I will clearly state this, Zamalek owes Mayuka €1.3 million after the termination of his three and a half years contract he signed last year,
“I don’t care what the Zamalek tells journalists, fact is they are lying and must clear the dues they owe Mayuka and that’s the truth,” he said.
Karin said he would do anything to expose Zamalek’s schemes and ensure Mayuka got his dues.
He said the Egyptians giants had tried to hide their dealings with him simply because he was from Israel.
“The documents are there, we signed and want what is ours. But it seems the contractual papers were forged,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mansour told reporters that he had nothing to do with Mayuka or his agent as Zamalek had cleared their dues.
“Zamalek did not terminate his contract but it was a mutual understanding. I paid him from my pocket when he left the club,” he said.
