The Gods first make mad those they want to destroy
Editor,
I am the least surprised or shocked by the utterances of some of our so-called church mother bodies such as the one for the Catholics. To all my fellow Zambians, remember that the gods first make mad those they want to destroy. Just wait and see.

Why is the police failing to arrest GBM?
Editor,
I am sure I am not the only one who is failing to understand why the police cannot arrest GBM, the UPND vice president who has been throwing his weight around for nothing. I would have thought that with the incarceration of his boss Hakainde Hichilema, he should have taken the centre stage in making sure that party programmes do not go to bed. But his seek and hide games will not help UPND in any way.

Musenge should gracefully
join UPND
Editor,
The game being played by former Chimwemwe law maker Mwenya Musenge are not helping PF and himself as an individual. I may be wrong, but it is now more than plain that he has interest in UPND, his former political party. He should just be man enough to call it quits and openly re-join UPND. There is no shame in that because after all that is what democracy is all about.

Parliament walls
Editor,
As I was watching Parliament TV, there was an Honourable MP debating the motion on tourism. I was disappointed to note that the wall behind him, though decorated, needed some filling in form of plaster before it was painted or is it designed like that?

Dismantle the ‘Madala’ Chipolopolo team
Editor,
I think the sooner the Under-20 was made a national the better for many of us soccer fans because the young Chipolopolo are result-oriented. No matter what others may say, I strongly feel that the senior team will not bring any positive results. They lack the will to die a little for mother Zambia. No one should bla the coach because he does not play but the blame squarely lies on players who are not taking their assignment seriously. Even if Jose Morinho took over the coaching, nothing can come of these guys.

Katunda-Lukulu road poor
Editor,
I agree, the reason why the people of Lukulu voted for the opposition is the state of the Lukulu Road. Just take a look at the road, it has been the same since Zambia was born. Mr. President, please help us with this!

Duty of the Speaker
Editor,
Is it the duty of the Speaker of the National Assembly to determine how rational the reason for a boycott is? Where in the rules of Parliament does it say you cannot boycott a solemn occasion?

UPND in leadership crisis
Editor,
It would appear to me that our UPND is in serious leadership crisis because no one has forcefully come out to claim its captaincy. It is now like a ship without a captain to steer its course. With GBM doing his dodging games, the future of UPND will be hard to predict because it certainly will be some time before HH returns home. Why can it put in an acting president with full powers?
