UPND notorious MPs
Editor,
The 48 notorious MPs from UPND were supposed to be expelled and their seats declared vacant because we cannot continue being represented by those hooligans in Parliament. That suspension is too short compared to the embarrassment those MPs have brought to the country.

Fake investors
Editor,
While we welcome the investors from other countries pretending to help ours come out of abject poverty, the Government through the Ministry of Lands must place safety measures on the duration of land lease. We propose that foreigners should not hold land rights like natives for 99 years but only for twenty years on condition that any prospective investor is given a timeframe to show the financial ability to develop the land. Most of these fake investors are just interested in holding on to land and later sell it.

Some lawyers abusing the
legal system
Editor,
Why is it that our lawyers are in the habit of abusing legal procedures with impunity? Is it just an academic exercise to show their client that they are working whilst not and only creating a fertile ground for their belly because even a lay man knows that laws are enacted for the nation and not a person who has a lot of money and can tell the courts to change laws to suit him? Some people deliberately commit serious crimes with bail pending in their minds. No wonder people are even stealing/killing at will. We, therefore, call upon Parliament to do away with this so that criminals spend years in prison.

Civil servants are suppliers
Editor,
I just wonder why genuine suppliers bother themselves to go round looking for business in public institutions. Most companies supplying to Government institutions are owned by government officials? Ethnically, it is not allowed and one can be arrested. Government should seriously look into this matter.

NIPA, Govt learning institution
Editor,
Most civil servants have got poor documents because of failing to upgrade themselves academically. NIPA is a government institute here to help civil servants who are not educated. We are saddened to learn that most educated people are youths on the streets.

HH not special
Editor,
In the early 70’s we had an Italian boss who each time he entered our office and found our supervisor reading a book, he would ask what he was reading. One day he entered and found him reading but instead of walking away, he told him, “Mr. don’t study too much otherwise you will become a fool”. Now looking at our educated politicians like Dr. Nevers Mumba, Milupi, Mulongoti, Chishimba and some YALI officials, the comments they make are shocking. Has it ever crossed their minds that the transfer of their ‘friend’ from Chimbokaila prison to Mukobeko is within the law? Why should Hichilema be special?

The truant 48 UPND MP’s
Editor,
We commend the action taken on the truant 48 UPND MP’s by the Speaker of the National Assembly. It is good though full of leniency because that was the second time repeating the same wrong. This goes to show the nation that UPND is a party full of no morals because their talk is foul like a stench from an open grave. Generally, their tongues are filled with lies, venom drips from their lips (sanctions) and their mouths are full of curses and bitterness. What we expect from such beings is self-destruction and followed by misery. It’s good that people now know who they are.
