Post Newspaper promoted tribalism in Zambia
Dear Editor,
The liquidated Post newspaper is the paper that has made some politicians even some Zambians not to be at peace with each other.
As Zambians we failed to notice how our leaders were demonized by this newspaper. Whoever did not play the drum with it became its enemy.
Among the people that were demonized were presidents, government leaders, politicians both in the ruling and opposition parties.
Some have since died being sent to their early graves. Many families suffered at the hands of this paper.
The tribal hatred we see today was promoted by this paper. Zambians had reached a point of co-existence before this paper came into being.
Show me anything that this paper has done to promote love of one another as Zambians in this country?
A lie told hundred times to some ears may become the gospel truth.

ZRA should up their clearing service at KKIA
Dear Editor,
I wish to register my disappointment with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) poor clearing service at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
To begin with, the clearing service is poor as a result of the system being down most of the time.
It is not good that after paying the appropriate fee for clearing the goods, then the ZRA officers tell you that the system is down.
They will even assure you that the system would normalise soon but to no avail.
You will be kept waiting for their system to stabilise or rather get back to normal which can even take the whole day.
I have encountered this problem on three occasions I went to clear goods at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
Worse still, I had been spending the whole day whenever I could go to clear the goods at the named airport.
Spending the whole day at the airport to clear goods because of malfunctioning of the clearing system means that the person will be deprived of doing other tasks.
If the machines being used are obsolete, there is an urgent need to have them replaced.
This is because it is too much. Moreover, time is a limited resource. It is also money which should be used optimally for one’s benefit.
In light of the above, I humbly appeal to ZRA Management to work on their clearing system which renders we the clients to receive poor service.
It is very inconveniencing spending many hours at this airport to clear goods due to poor clearing system.
This is unacceptable in this era of technological advancement.

Protect the girl child
Dear Editor,
The protection of the girl child needs to be the top and first priority of every nation and the world.
This is a plea to the nation and the society at large; let us protect the girl child, set the girl child free from early marriage, defilement and discrimination.
With gratitude, humour and respect, Zambia has the first ever woman as the vice president.
This shows how powerful, strong, ambitious and how valuable the pride of a woman is to a nation but the world at large.
Let us rise up, build up, empower and have our mind-set change over the girl child.
Recognising a woman or a girl child in any society brings in greater development in a nation.
Education is indeed the key to success, educate the girl child and you will educate the nation thus achieving greatness.
Say no to early marriage and send the girl child to school, hear the cry of a girl child for one day she maybe your lawyer, minister, ambassador, doctor, vice president or president one day.
Educate her on the importance of education, the power of giving your child a happy, successful and greater future is in your hands.
Here is the cry of a girl child! I AM the future of the world, don’t destroy me for i am the leader of tomorrow.
It’s a shame that my pride is stripped out, father, mother please rescue my pride for I am drowning insane!
I am alone in the cold, I can hardly see the light, nothing seems to be right for I have been forced to give up my dreams.
I have been forced to marry a man who is old enough to be my father and I have taken the responsibility that is not meant for me.
Remember when you protect the girl child you protect the nation for a woman is a mother of a nation!

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers should buy players
Dear Editor,
The people’s team and legendary cup fighters, Mighty Mufulira Wanderers Football Club should consider buying players to reinforce the team.
This can be done during the transfer window which commenced on Saturday July 1, 2017 and ends on July 31, 2017.
Let me hasten to mention here that the Wilson Mwale tutored side, Mighty Mufulira Wanderers is not so might this soccer season going by the number of games the team has lost so far. If truth be told it is this one: Mighty is not performing very well in the 2017 MTN/ FAZ Super Division League.
The club has recorded a series of losses since the beginning of the soccer season and it is lying second from the bottom of the log with a paltry 10 points from 14 games played so far.
The losses can be attributed to the exodus of key and experienced players to other clubs during the 2016 off season.
Worse still, the team has been oscillating between 19th and 20th position on the league table.
This state of affair is not if the team is to survive relegation to the lower division.
The panacea of this problem is for the club executive to buy players during the transfer window.
This is imperative and non-debatable in the spirit of saving the team from being relegated to the lower Division.
