Festone Simwaka: I am a paramedic and I have seen how patients with cancer and other painful conditions such as demyelinating neuropathies benefit from the use of marijuana. We have really deprived such like ones from medical advances that can help them by delaying to legalise it.
Bilson Bwalya: We’ve heard and seen some cosmetic products in which marijuana is being used as one of the ingredients especially for some hair food and I believe those who use such products do appreciate the results, if marijuana could be used for heathy purposes then there’s no problem because it’s a saving life vegetable.
Gerald Mngawa: STRONGLY DISAGREE… Go to Chainama or Sharpz in Kalundu and get data on drug abuse problems our teens are facing and you wouldn’t bring up this topic. I laugh when people put the term “medicinal” so as to sugar coat the drug. How many patients in Zambia are in need of medical weed? The main driver for this topic is money period. Someone what’s to be a drug dealer so they want to hide behind ‘medicinal marijuana
Dee Runcity Kaly: Pallmall and Peter Stuyvesant have killed dozens but yet legal.legalise and just sensitise on the dangers if there any compared to tobacco.
William Mulenga: 1 We are dull here in Africa .Inchito kula kaka bantu mufifungo .We are busy sending people to the prison for nothing but simply for being in possession of marijuana yet it could be of great benefit to the nation. Can we go ahead and allow people make money under some conditions of course and will be a milestone to eradicating poverty.
Charles Banda: Are you aware that snake venom can save your life instead of killing you? Most of our cough syrups have alcohol? Tute, Chinangwa, Mwanja ,Cassava etc.has poison in it( meanwhile, can you stop my Bemba child from eating Tute )? Everything has Positive & negative effect so has Chamba. Let’s be sober & realistic ( not childish) when discussing this issue. Most developed countries with proper technology are busy developing their economies with incomes from Cannabis. Shame!
Kingsley Mukanga: I strongly agree, it will help cure many diseases and it should be regulated well only for medicinal purposes. Not just polluting the hood by end users.
E-j Jonathan Chipatala: if only people fully understand the benefits and disadvantages of marijuana, they will make right decisions.
Robert Zalila: Strongly agree, people need to understand that it’s not for smoking but for medicinal purposes and it’s good business for our country and farmers who will be allowed to make more money for themselves.
T Bug Bwalya: strongly disagree. Do you know what marijuana can do to a person, lekeni ifyo ifimaliashi fya dobo’this is not Jamaica if you want to be healed ukaye mu kwikala ku Jamaica.
Jonny Ngulube: Problem is everyone will start growing it in the back yard like the way we grow tembusha. It will be self-administered and every now and then, pushers will pretend to be sick.
Stan Mwanja: they say prevention is better than cure. It can be planned for medicinal purposes but man will always want to abuse it. I strongly disagree
Luhana C. Jolly: The debate of legalising should have been done some time back in fact, let us look at this from a positive perspective and not always be pessimistic about it. For medical purposes, I say its high time we did it. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Both economically for a country and medically for the citizens. There are highly alcoholic (45%) beverage widely available on the streets without proper restrictions. Let’s invite investors for its mass production and earn much needed income from exports to countries the legally need the product.
Charles Banda: Strongly agree for medicinal purposes. Chamba ( DOBO ) has always been there before almost all of us were born. It has been used as medicines before your Mobile Clinics. Don’t pretend. Abusers can abuse anything. Tujilijili competition is happening – no one has stopped it. Wake up people, let’s save serious lives.
Thomas Saidi Phiri II: If alcohol is perfectly legal why not cannabis? Come to think about it, alcohol is much more harmful than cannabis. Just saying…
Mphangula Ndhlovu: I strongly agree. And not just for medicinal purposes but as a cash crop for export too. Imagine how much revenue it can generate from countries where marijuana has already been legalised like the Netherlands, Canada and recently the United States of America.
Ray Chindefu: We can give ZNS to manage and grow it. Strictly for medical purposes and for export.
Isaac Mkhitaryan Kasonde Jnr: For medicine purposes I strongly agree; it has been proved that marijuana can cure cancer.
Justine’Bmc Nyendwa The’ManCity: Many people when they hear about marijuana, they only know that it makes somebody go mad. But do you know that anything has advantage and disadvantage? We should not Look at disadvantages only.
