| FAZ has summoned Nkana Football Club for disciplinary hearing over its fans unruly behaviour during Charity Shield final last Sunday played at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa stadium. |
FAZ Communications Manager Desmond Katongo confirmed this in a statement to the Daily Nation in Lusaka and said the hearing has been set for Saturday April 8.
Nkana has been summoned in connection with their fans’ unruly behavior at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium during last Sunday’s Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndlovu Charity Shield final between Zesco United which Nkana lost 2-nil.
“Kalampa” supporters tossed objects on the pitch when Nkana skipper Donashano Malama was sent off in the 58th minute after he had purposefully stepped on Zesco’s Ben Adama Banh’s stomach before hitting him on the head,” said Katongo
A police officer manning the match and a Supersport crew member were caught up in the fracas after bottles rained on the pitch as Malama was escorted out of the field after initially refused to leave.
Meanwhile FAZ has also summoned two clubs in connection with abandoned league games during the 2016 soccer season.
The two summoned clubs are Livingstone Pride and Kazungula Football Club.
“The Association has also summoned Livingstone Pride in connection with the club’s abandoned week 17 league game involving Zambeef Sinazongwe on 24th July, 2016,
“FAZ has further summoned Kazungula to a hearing on their abandoned week 18 league game involving Zambeef Sinazongwe on 31st July, 2016,” Katongo said.
FAZ has urged the summoned clubs to attend the disciplinary committee meeting without fail.
