NKANA Football Club coach, Beston Chambeshi says Nkana will not underestimate Zanaco when the two teams clash in the 2018 Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu charity shield semifinal fixture to be played on 3rd March at Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka.
Speaking in an interview in Kitwe, Chambeshi said Zanaco is a good side and would give the 12 times league champions’ stiff competition.
Chambeshi noted that Nkana would prepare adequately as they plan to use the charity shield semifinal fixture to prepare for the CAF confederations cup tournament.
“It is good, we will be playing Zanaco obviously, they will give us a good game they are a good side. Our hope is that we use the match to prepare for our continental games,” Chambeshi said.
Meanwhile Napsa Stars Football Club will this Saturday play super division side Green Buffalos Football Club in a pre-season friendly match set for Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
Napsa Stars public relations officer Gwen Chipasula confirmed the development with head coach Linos Makwaza saying that the friendly match will greatly help his team to prepare for the Charity Shield semi-final against Zesco United.
Makwaza who was confirmed as NAPSA Stars head coach a few days ago said that the friendly match against Green Buffaloes will be treated with all the necessary attention it deserves.
“Yes we have secured a friendly match with GBFC this Saturday. It is an important match to us so we have to take it as a league match because it will help us as we go into the Charity Shield,”Makwaza Said.
The pensioners who qualified for this years’ charity shield tournament after coming out second in the Barclays cup tournament which was snatched by the Bankers, will face league champions Zesco United in a semi-final fixture set for 15:00 hours at Nkoloma Stadium while Barclays cup champions Zanaco will play Nkana in a lunch time kickoff set for 3rd March at the same venue.
